Doctor Camp is a native of Columbia, South Carolina. She received a Bachelor of Applied Science degree from Campbell University, Buies Creek, North Carolina, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Doctor Camp holds a Master of Divinity degree from Campbell University Divinity School, Buies Creek, North Carolina. On May 6, 2022, she received her Doctor of Ministry degree (Evangelism and Church Planting) from Liberty University, Lynchburg, Virginia, and she graduated as a Distinguished Graduate. Her DMIN project was “An Assessment of the Millennial Body and Its Place in the Local Church.” She is a proud member of Theta Alpha Kappa and Omega Nu Lambda honor societies.

In 2002, while serving in Naples, Italy, she acknowledged her calling into ministry. She has served in many ministerial positions, including Directors of Evangelism, Prison Ministry, Hospitality, and as a Sunday school facilitator for all age groups. On January 21, 2021, she was ordained as a Deacon in the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church during the 142nd Session of the Eastern NC Episcopal District Annual Conference; the Right Reverend Kenneth Monroe appointed Doctor Camp to serve as the Pastor of Chapel Grove AME Zion Church. Dr. Camp served as the Senior Pastor of Chapel Grove for two years. On January 19, 2023, she was ordained as an Elder at the Kenneth Monroe Transformation Center, Rock Hill, SC, by Bishop Kenneth Monroe, Senior Bishop. During the 144th Session of the Eastern NC Episcopal District Annual Conference held at St. Mark AME Zion Church, Raleigh, NC, Dr. Camp was appointed as the Senior Pastor of Creeksville AME Zion Church.

Dr. Camp’s journey is marked by her service in the United States Army, a testament to her dedication and commitment. She served in the Army for over 20 years, retiring as a Senior Non-commissioned Officer. Her service is a source of pride and respect. Dr. Camp is married to Chief Warrant Officer (retired) Milton E. Camp of Detroit, Michigan. Four beautiful children were born from this marriage: Nykell (preceded in death), Jomil, Jasmyn, and Samaria Camp. She and Milton are blessed with two grandsons, Aiden and Jaiden.
